NSUKKA TOWN REUNION SUMMIT
PREPARATION FOR NSUKKA TOWN REUNION SUMMIT 2018
PEM (Public Enlightenment and Mobilisation) Online News Magazine: 5th August, 2018.
This is how it happened at Tickels Garden, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, on Sunday 5th August, 2018. Nsukka Town Union Abuja branch invited their Women Wing
and other Nsukka Town Meetings in Abuja to what was called "An Enlarged Meeting of Nsukka Unions in Abuja". The reason was to hear what the Director, Info Outreach Centre for Research and Public Education, Mr Eneje Peter Chinedu had to say about 'Nsukka Town Reunion Summit' his organisation wants to convene.
The event (Reunion Summit) which is tentatively going to hold on 23rd Sept. 2018 (though may be moved up for some reasons) is going to bring Nsukka Town people home and abroad together to discuss and resolve issues that bring cracks on their wall of unity and prosperity. The event will hold at Nsukka Town Civic Centre, Nsukka.
The paper presentation is entitled "Nsukka Town: Let Us Work For Greater Unity And Prosperity" and it is meant to enlighten and mobilize Nsukka Town people at home and in Diaspora for the Reunion Summit. The presentation in Abuja was awsome as Seven out of Eight Unions/Clubs invited graced the occasion, just the same way it happened at Onitsha.
The presentation had already been made to Nsukka Town Union Enugu Branch and Onitsha Branch. It is advocating for a more united and prosperous Nsukka Town, home and abroad.
Info Outreach Centre sent letters to all Nsukka Town Unions abroad demanding to make presentation on the Reunion Summit, and at present, Enugu, Onitsha and Abuja branches have called the Direction, Mr Eneje to make the presentation. The organisations, after the presentation, resolved to participate fully in the Reunion Summit and to support other community development activities of Info Outreach Centre for Research and Public Education. Mr Eneje while making his presentation in Abuja thanked the Presidents of other branches he had visited; Chief Fred Eze (Onitsha) and Chief Emmanuel Ogbu (Enugu), for their various support to Info Outreach Centre, and also, for their commitment to the development of Nsukka Town.
The President, Nsukka Town Union Abuja branch Chief Virginus Ngwoke (Ezigara Ora 1)
and the members appreciated immensely the efforts of Info Outreach Center in making the whole of Nsukka Senatorial Zone a better place.
Every Nsukka Town indigenous person is invited to participate in the Reunion Summit. People in academic and professionals are going to speak on that day.
Anyone interested in the paper presented in Abuja (soft copy) should contact 08034695277 to get it free of charge. You are expected to study it and respond to the questions raised in writing. There is plan to publish all written submissions in book form (bearing the names of submitters) after the Reunion Summit. And, the book shall serve as resource material for Nsukka Town leaders, and also help to equip 'Nsukka Information Documentation and Resources Centre' that is being developed.
Also, the Center is looking for people and organisations who have interest in community development especially at the grassroots, and can sponsor the Reunion Summit, to discuss with.
Info Outreach Centre is also the organisers of the yearly 'Nsukka Cultural Colloquium' that is for the whole of Nsukka Senatorial Zone: the maiden edition of the event was held in October, 2017 at Adada House, GRA Nsukka, and the 2018 edition will hold this December after Nsukka Town Reunion Summit.
